We'd frame it.

Aussie Road Trip is a thousand pieces of pure Australiana, and the detail is where it earns its keep. Koalas and kangaroos, kookaburras, surfboards, beaches, red dirt and outback road signs, with small things tucked into corners that you won't notice until you're hunting for a piece of sky at eleven at night. That's the mark of a good puzzle: the picture keeps giving you something new right through the build.

It's artist designed rather than stock imagery, which is the whole reason Journey of Something exists. Two friends in Melbourne started the brand because every puzzle on the shelf was a horse grazing in a paddock, and they thought the world deserved better. They were right.

Finished it comes in at 70cm by 50cm, which is a proper size. Big enough to be a real project, big enough to look like a piece of art if you glue and frame it, and exactly the sort of thing that works on a caravan park wall or above a desk.

It arrives in a soft cloth drawstring bag rather than a box of loose pieces, so storage is tidy and nothing spills in a cupboard. A small thing, done properly.

We'd been eyeing this brand for years and finally picked them up at Gift Fair. This was one of the pieces that sealed it.

Have a browse through our full Jigsaw Puzzles collection here...

🧩 Why You'll Love It

1000 pieces of Australian icons, wildlife and road trip nostalgia

Artist designed, not stock imagery

Generous 70 x 50cm finished size

Soft cloth drawstring bag included for tidy storage

Small details hidden throughout to discover as you build

Looks genuinely good framed when you're done

Australian owned and designed in Melbourne

A proper screen-free project

🎁 Perfect For

Puzzle lovers who want something worth looking at

Caravanners and anyone who's done a lap

Christmas, birthdays and Father's Day

Expats and homesick Aussies overseas

Holiday houses and long weekends

Framing as wall art once it's finished

Rainy afternoons and the week between Christmas and New Year

📦 What's Included

1 x 1000 piece Aussie Road Trip jigsaw puzzle

1 x soft cloth drawstring storage bag

📋 Product Details

Brand: Journey of Something

Product Type: Jigsaw Puzzle

Pieces: 1000

Finished size: 70cm x 50cm

Design: Artist designed

Storage: Soft cloth drawstring bag included

Brand origin: Australian owned, designed in Melbourne

⚠️ Please note: Contains small pieces and is not suitable for young children. The variety in the artwork helps considerably, since there's always a section with enough going on to give you somewhere to start. No endless expanse of identical blue sky here.

How big is it finished?
70cm by 50cm, so you'll want a decent table or a puzzle mat. Worth checking the space before you tip it out, because there's nothing worse than running out of room at piece seven hundred.

Can I frame it?
It's one of the better ones for it, which is why we mention it. Puzzle glue from a craft shop, a flat surface, and a 70 x 50cm frame will do the job. It makes a lovely piece for a study, a hallway or a holiday house.

What's actually in the picture?
Australian icons and wildlife, koalas, kangaroos, kookaburras, surfboards, beaches, the outback and plenty of road trip nostalgia. It rewards a close look, and half the fun is spotting things you missed first time round.

Does it come in a box or a bag?
A soft cloth drawstring bag, which is better than it sounds. Nothing spills in the cupboard, it takes up less room than a box, and it travels well if the puzzle is coming on holiday with you.

Is it a good gift?
One of the easiest we stock, particularly for anyone who's done a lap of the country or is planning one.
