Whether you're hitting the road in your caravan, pitching a tent under the stars, setting sail on a cruise, or flying off on an overseas escape, one thing is guaranteed - you're going to have laundry to deal with. And let’s be honest, there’s nothing worse than soggy socks and no way to dry them!
That’s why we always pack our Slide n’ Dry Pegless Clothesline. Compact, peg-free, and proudly Australian made, it’s a favourite among our Adventure Awaits community and one of our all-time bestsellers.
So how does it work? Let us show you!
What's Included in Your Set
Each Slide n’ Dry Pegless Clothesline comes with:
Two bungee cords with secure hooks
UV-stabilised plastic slides that grip your clothes
Everything is lightweight, durable, and ready to tuck into your backpack, caravan drawer, or suitcase.
✨ How It Works
Instead of pegs, this clever system uses sliding grips that hold your clothes in place with a quick push. No fiddly clips, no stretched-out elastic, no sagging lines.
It’s a smarter way to dry on the go - and one you’ll quickly wonder how you ever lived without.
📍 Step-by-Step Setup Guide
1. Choose Two Secure Anchor Points
Depending on where you are, these could be:
Trees, poles, or roof racks (for camping)
Caravan awning arms, annex poles or even your bullbar
Cruise cabin towel rails, balcony railings, or shower areas
Hotel furniture, curtain rods, or bathroom hooks
2. Attach the Bungee Hooks
Use the hooks to fasten each end of the clothesline to your anchor points. The stretchy bungee cords make it easy to get a snug fit, even if your setup isn’t perfectly symmetrical.
3. Slide, Grip, Done!
Push the edge of your garment into one of the clips and slide it into place. That’s it! No pegs needed. The slide holds firm, even on heavier items like towels, wet swimmers or jeans.

“Best cruise accessory ever. Used it inside the cabin, on the balcony (when allowed), and even in hotel rooms after.” - Tanya, NSW
“Used ours at camp, clipped to the side of the 4WD. Was dry before lunch.” Mick, QLD

❌ Why Peg-Free is Better
We used to pack traditional clotheslines too - until we discovered the Slide n’ Dry. Here’s why we switched for good:
Elastic lines:
Stretch out and sag in the sun
Tangled mess in your bag
Pegs fall off, break, or get lost
Slide n’ Dry:
Peg-free and mess-free
Clips are secure and one-handed
UV-stabilised and long-lasting
Modular and expandable
And most importantly: it works, every single time.

I purchased a 4 of these cases thinking they’ll be great for my setup, I only have 2 left as the zips got slightly caught on the first 2 and broke right off.
Having bad arthritis of my hands, I find this excellent when playing bridge. However the hard plastic one I received is harder to use than another I tried covered in velvet.
