Our Map of Australia Stickers are stored FLAT and  rolled into a tube for shipment.

Once you receive your sticker, unroll and lay flat until you are ready to place it on a surface.

7 WAYS TO SUCCESSFULLY ‘STICK’ YOUR AUSSIE MADE STICKER

The instructions and information below are designed to make sure you get the best out of your sticker.

1. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN Surface

The application area must be THOROUGHLY cleaned before attempting to apply your sticker. Any dirt, grease, oil, or any kind of impurities present will interfere with the adhesive of the sticker. Usually, cleaning with soap and water does the trick.

2. Surface Temperature

Surface temperature plays an important role in ensuring that the sticker’s adhesive reacts correctly to the surface. Stickers stick best when applied in room temperature. The adhesive may not bond well with the surface if the application is done on a cold or hot surface.

3. Proper Application Technique

Improper application may result in the sticker folding, air bubbles, or lifting of edges. Don’t rush the application process. Rest assured, if you apply your sticker properly, you will have a perfectly placed accessory that will stay on for a long time.

4. Smooth Surface Area

Smooth areas provide the best surfaces for stickers to bond. Oddly shaped, porous, or rough-textured surfaces will very likely cause bonding. This may require sandpaper to smooth – but make sure you clean afterwards.

5. Clear Protection Tape

Clear protect tape is great to prevent lifting. Applying it ensures that the edges won’t lift, and it also serves as an added coat of protection.

6. Storage

Stickers that are not stored properly will lose their adhesiveness. Store them in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight. If your map arrives in a tube, lay flat before applying.

7. Post-application Cleaning

Do not clean or wash for at least 3-5 days after application. Do not pressure wash or scrub the sticker or the area around the sticker.
