We have been doing this for more than 13 years, from a shop in a little country town of around 4,000 people.

We have grown, changed, renovated, expanded, gone online, created our own Australian Made products, packed a ridiculous number of parcels and had plenty of crazy ideas along the way.

And every now and then, someone has been kind enough to notice.

Adventure Awaits has been recognised over the years for bricks and mortar retail, eCommerce, Australian Made products, customer service, innovation and regional business.

2026: WINNER, Excellence in Retail

Moira Shire Business Excellence Awards

This one was pretty special.

Adventure Awaits was named the 2026 Excellence in Retail & Personal Services winner, recognising our growth across bricks and mortar retail, eCommerce and wholesale, exceptional customer service, digital innovation, support of Australian Made products and our continued investment in regional retail.

From the outside, we probably look like a little toy and gift shop in Numurkah.

But there is a LOT going on behind those teal doors!

We have now served more than 300,000 customers Australia-wide, supply more than 100 stockists, operate a national eCommerce business and have our own Australian Made products stocked nationally in BCF stores.

And somehow, after all that growth, we still feel like a little local shop. That is something we are incredibly proud of.

We were also named a finalist in Outstanding Business Champion: Adele Dyson, recognising more than 13 years of business leadership, community involvement and advocacy for regional businesses, Australian Made and other entrepreneurs.

Not bad for a little regional shop in Numurkah.

2023: WINNER, Bricks & Mortar Retailers Excellence Award

Australian Rural Business Awards

Recognised for our bricks and mortar store in Numurkah, home to Adventure Awaits, Caravanning with Kids and Slide n' Dry Pegless Clotheslines.

This award meant a lot to us because we have always believed that regional communities deserve amazing bricks and mortar retail too.

2022: A pretty good year!

Online, in-store, Australian Made and caravanning retail all recognised in the same year. Yep, we were pretty chuffed with that one!

This one was a genuine surprise at the time. We were VERY small fry compared with most of the businesses in that field, which made being named a finalist even more exciting.

Our own products designed and made right here in Australia.

A team who know our products because we try them, test them and use them ourselves.

And a business that continues to invest in our store, our team, our customers and our little hometown of Numurkah.
