Colour Your Own Affirmation Cards - 50 Cards & Markers

Five minutes with a texta in your hand is a better reset than five minutes on your phone. Most of us know this and do it anyway.

This is a gentle fix for that. Fifty cards, each with an affirmation printed as line art, waiting to be coloured in. You pick one, you colour it, and while your hands are busy the words have time to actually land rather than being skimmed past. Then it goes in the little wooden stand on your desk or windowsill until you swap it for the next one.

The colouring is doing more work than it looks. It slows you down enough to be present with the thing you're reading, which is the whole difference between repeating an affirmation and absorbing one. And it's a proper creative break in a day that probably doesn't have one.

Everything's in the box. Fifty cards, six dual-tipped markers so you get a fine and a broad end on each, and the wooden stand. Nothing to buy before you start.

It's also one of the better gifts we stock for someone who's been flat out. It isn't another object for a shelf, it's permission to sit down for five minutes, and at fifty cards it lasts a long while.

Beautifully designed, as everything from Journey of Something is. Australian owned, Melbourne based, and they work with real artists rather than stock imagery.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?
Pick a card, colour it in while you take in what it says, then pop it in the wooden stand where you'll see it. Swap it for a new one whenever you feel like it. Most people spend five or ten minutes on a card, which is rather the point.

Do I need my own pens?
No, six dual-tipped markers come in the box. Each one has a fine tip and a broad tip, so you've got enough range to do detail and fill without anything else.

How long will 50 cards last?
If you do one a day, nearly two months. Most people dip in and out rather than working through it, which stretches it considerably further.

Is it suitable for kids?
It works well for tweens and teens, and plenty of younger children enjoy the colouring even if the words go over their heads. There's nothing in it that isn't suitable for any age.

How big are the cards?
The box is 17.5cm square, so the cards sit comfortably inside that. A good size to colour without being fiddly, and the right size for the stand on a desk or shelf.

What's the difference between this and the Adult version?
Same format and the same idea, very different language. The Adult edition is the sweary one, built for people whose self-talk is a bit more robust. This one is the gentle version and suits any age or occasion. If you're buying for a teenager, a teacher or your nan, this is the one.

Is it a good gift?
One of our easier ones. It's complete in the box, it suits almost anyone, and it's the rare present that gives someone a reason to sit down rather than another thing to find space for.

🌟 Adventure Awaits Tip

Keep the stand somewhere you'll actually look at it, the kitchen bench or beside the kettle rather than a shelf you walk past. The whole point is the card catching your eye, and it only works where you already stand. Have a browse through our full Mindfulness Gifts collection for more.
