The Travel Mini Pack is Connetix built for the road. Thirty mini tiles packed into a tin with a carry handle, and the tin itself is the clever part: it doubles as the build surface. Open it on a lap, a tray table or a caravan bench and there's somewhere stable to build, in several different configurations depending on how much room you've got. No table needed, no pieces rolling under the seat.

The mini tiles use Connetix Smart Spin technology, which means the magnets rotate freely inside each tile. In practice that gives you connection points a standard tile can't manage, so builds hold together at angles that would otherwise fall apart. It's what makes a mini aeroplane or a rocket sturdy enough to pick up and swoop through the air without disintegrating, which is exactly what a child will do within about four seconds of finishing it.

The shape mix is genuinely interesting too. What is Smart Spin?
The magnets rotate freely inside each tile rather than being fixed in one orientation. How big is the tin?
