Slabs solve that by putting the fidget on the thing you're already holding. Peel off the backing, stick one on your laptop lid, the back of your phone, your drink bottle, the front of your notebook or under the edge of your desk, and your thumb has somewhere to go every time your hands get restless. No pocket, no pencil case, nothing to lose down the side of the couch.
Each one is premium silicone with a properly tactile surface, and the texture is the point. Ridges, bumps, lines and dots each give a different feel under the thumb, so you can pick the one that suits how you fidget. Completely silent, entirely discreet, and it just looks like part of your gear rather than something you brought along.
They stick using 3M semi-permanent adhesive, which is the same stuff phone accessories use. Press for ten seconds and it holds properly, but it lifts off non-porous surfaces without leaving a mess behind.
Three shapes to work with. The circle and square suit flat surfaces like a laptop lid or the back of a phone, and the longer tab shape is made for curves, so it wraps beautifully around a drink bottle or a tumbler handle. Twelve colourways across the range, and most people who buy one end up putting a second somewhere else.

1 x Speks Slab in your chosen style
Brand: Speks
Product Type: Fidget Toy
Materials: Silicone with 3M semi-permanent adhesive
Circle: 57mm diameter
Square: 57mm x 57mm
Tab: 34mm x 79mm
Textures: Four tactile finishes
Sound: Silent
Application: Peel, stick to a clean surface, press for 10 seconds
Care: Wipe with a warm damp cloth and mild detergent
⚠️ Please note: Not for application on skin or hair. Apply to a clean, dry, non-porous surface for best hold. If the silicone shows signs of wear or splitting, remove and dispose of it safely.
How do I put one on?
Clean the surface first so it's free of dust and oil, peel the backing off, stick it down and press firmly for ten seconds. That ten seconds matters, because it's what sets the adhesive properly.
Can I move it to something else later?
You can, but we wouldn't recommend it. The adhesive is strongest on first application, so the Slab will last far longer if you pick a spot and commit. Have a think about where you'll actually reach for it before you peel.
Will it leave residue?
On non-porous surfaces like a laptop lid, a phone case or a stainless steel bottle, no. Porous or painted surfaces are a different story, so avoid anything with a finish you'd be upset to mark.
Which shape should I choose?
Circle and square for flat surfaces, so laptop lids, tablet backs and phone cases. The tab is longer and narrower and handles curves much better, which makes it the pick for drink bottles and tumbler handles.
Will it survive a dishwasher or a wash?
Skip the dishwasher. To clean it, wipe with a warm damp cloth and a bit of mild detergent while it's still stuck down. If it's on a drink bottle, hand wash the bottle rather than putting it through a cycle.
Which texture is best?
It comes down to how you fidget. Ridges and lines give you something to run a thumb along, dots and bumps give you something to press into. There's no wrong choice, and once you've got one you'll know which way you lean.
How does this compare to Speks Odds or Pivot?
Different job entirely. Odds and Pivot are things you hold. A Slab is something you stick to what you're already touching, so it's always within reach and can't be left behind. Plenty of people have one of each.
One on the laptop and one on the drink bottle covers you for the whole working day. They're small enough to add a couple without anything looking cluttered. Have a browse through our full Speks range for the rest of the collection.
